9700i_4The Eclipse i-Series model #9700i is one of the many new Intelligent Flushing & Monitoring Stations Kupferle offers to maintain safe residual levels and remove DBPs from consumers’ water. This portable analytical station easily attaches to any fire hydrant (2½” NST) and incorporates a built-in chlorine analyzer to measure and record disinfectant residual levels based on a programmed sampling schedule. Using the Programmable Logic Control (PLC) interface, users can input minimum and desired residual levels, an initial blow-off time and a maximum flushing duration. The unit will then operate under these parameters and will flush when detected residuals are below minimum prescribed levels and flush only the exact amount of water needed until the desired residuals are attained. All residual and flushing data is recorded and can be transferred to Microsoft Excel via a micro-SD card or can be transmitted using a SCADA system. Since this unit is portable, data from this unit can be used to maximize manual and/or automatic flushing efficiency.

The Eclipse i-Series#9750i Intelligent Portable Water Quality Device, also known as “The Flushing Buddy,”  was designed and engineered specifically to assist in flushing efficiency and data collection of particular water quality parameters in the desired water system. During flushing (Unidirectional, Water Quality, Etc.) it creates a site log of water quality results and notifies the operator when programmed set points are met for select water quality parameters (chlorine residuals, turbidity NTUs, etc.) via audio and visual notifications, eliminating the need to take numerous hand samples. It attaches directly to a fire hydrant or blow-off by using a 2½ NST side cap, which features a quick disconnect nozzle, or can be connected to the fire hydrant using a hose connection. Each flushing site’s location, water quality results and flush duration is recorded in an excel log for easy and convenient reporting. If desired, the amount of flushed water can be calculated using one of three flow rate methods: an estimated flow rate, an estimated flow using PSI and a differential pressure flow curve from the hydrant manufacturer, or by metering the water. When ordering, this unit should be specified as a hydrant mount or with a hose attachment. Two standard units are available, one with a chlorine sensor (specify free, combined or total) and another with a turbidity sensor. The device can accommodate up to seven additional sensors (pH, conductivity, ORP, nitrate, nitrite, dissolved oxygen, etc.) with pressure already included in the standard units.

This permanently installed station incorporates a built-in chlorine analyzer to measure and record disinfectant residual levels based on a programmed sampling schedule. Using the Programmable Logic Control (PLC) interface, users can input minimum and desired residual levels, an initial blow-off time and a maximum flushing duration. The unit will then operate under these parameters and will flush when detected residuals are below minimum prescribed levels and flush only the exact amount of water needed until desired residuals are attained. All residual and flushing data is recorded and can be transferred to Microsoft Excel via a micro-SD card or can be transmitted using a SCADA system. Thermal enclosure has an insulation rating of R-9 and is equipped with 150 Watt heater/fan and four zone thermostats (requires 120VAC line power). Sampling lines are heated using self-regulating heat trace. Unit is self-draining, non-freezing based on depth of bury and is maintainable from above ground.

This permanently installed station incorporates a built-in chlorine analyzer to measure and record disinfectant residual levels based on a programmed sampling schedule. Using the Programmable Logic Control (PLC) interface, users can input minimum and desired residual levels, an initial blow-off time and a maximum flushing duration. The unit will then operate under these parameters and will flush only when detected residuals are below minimum prescribed levels and flush only the exact amount of water until desired residuals are attained. All residual and flushing data is recorded and can be transferred to Microsoft Excel via a micro-SD card or can be transmitted using a SCADA system. The unit is housed in a UV-resistant lockable enclosure and requires 120VAC line power or a 24VDC solar panel power source. Unit is fully maintainable from above ground.
